Do I need to read Ballad before Sunrise?
Short answer: optional, but helpful. You can enjoy the Sunrise novel without Ballad; reading Ballad adds 10th-Games and early Capitol texture before the 50th.
This page is the book decision. For films, see Do I need Ballad (film) before Sunrise?
